Emilio Tadini, Valerio Adami, and Gianfranco Pardi were dear friends of Carlo Orsi. With warmth and affection, Carlo captured them at various moments in their lives, conveying through his photographs the depth of their bonds and the beauty of shared moments—creating moving portraits of friendship and closeness.
Valerio Adami (1935) is an internationally renowned Italian painter, known for his style marked by bold color contrasts and geometric forms. Due to these distinctive features, his paintings - in most cases large-scale - have often been associated with Pop Art. However, beneath the apparent simplicity and readability of his images lies a narrative built on sophisticated visual metaphors and philosophical, literary, and mythological concepts. His works explore themes related to politics, literature, philosophy, and myth, blending classical and contemporary references. Since the 1960s, Adami has exhibited at documenta in Kassel (1964) and the Venice Biennale (1968), while his most significant solo exhibitions have been held at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (1970), the Centre Pompidou (1985), the Museo d'Arte della Città di Ravenna (2013), and the Palazzo Reale in Milan (2024), on the 65th anniversary of his artistic career.
