You can say what you like, Milan is here. Scattered in layers, rings, circles or fragments, stylists bumping into each other, museums being updated, ideas flowing one from another. And the photographs that tell its story, different but the same, intensely beautiful, vaguely sad, embellished by the Expo that brings the world to its door. Milan: work, study, effort, passion, hunger, waste, rights, dignity, reconstruction and repair. What works becomes excellence, what barely moves is called reawakening. But maybe it is just hope, longing for the future, an invention to youth, the courage to set an example. It would be lovely to be able to say that to opportunities are still there and that if we really want to, we can still grasp them.
